Cookie Policy

Last updated

OV Fundraising is an Ohio-based apparel fundraising business primarily serving customers in the United States. This policy explains how we use cookies, tracking technologies, and browser storage on ovfundraising.com. For more about how we handle personal information, see our Privacy Policy.

Cookies and browser storage

Cookies are small files stored by your browser. First-party cookies are stored for our website's domain; third-party cookies are stored for another provider's domain. A third-party service can also place first-party cookies on our domain.

Local storage and session storage hold information in your browser separately from cookies. Local storage can remain between visits; session storage normally lasts for the current browser tab's session. Tracking pixels and scripts can send information about visits and interactions without necessarily storing a cookie.

Essential or functional storage

Our fundraiser forms use session storage named ovf-start-form and ovf-details-form to preserve entered contact and fundraiser information between steps and restore progress. The form entries are removed when the fundraiser thank-you page loads. This is browser storage, separate from the submissions sent to us.

Netlify hosts the website and processes form submissions, including submission metadata and technical information such as IP addresses. Our form code does not itself set a cookie to submit a form; Netlify's server-side processing is separate from browser storage.

Analytics and performance tracking

Google Tag Manager loads and manages website tags. These tags may collect technical, usage, and campaign information and may use cookies or browser storage, depending on their configuration. The container's tag configuration is managed outside this codebase, so we cannot confirm its current individual tags or their cookies from the website source alone.

Hotjar helps us understand website use through interaction analytics, which may include heatmaps and session recordings depending on configuration. It may process page views, clicks, scrolling, device and browser information, and identifiers, and may use cookies or browser storage to connect interactions within or across visits.

Advertising and conversion tracking

Meta Pixel collects page views and supported form-submission events to measure advertising performance and attribute submissions to campaigns. It may collect browser identifiers and information about website interactions. Meta may use this information under its own policies, including to personalize ads.

Our browser-side Meta parameter helper sets or updates first-party cookies: _fbp identifies a browser, and _fbc stores Meta advertising click information when available. The helper writes these cookies with a 90-day expiry, which can be refreshed on later visits; browser restrictions may shorten their lifetime. We also use session storage named ovf-meta-click to retain Meta advertising click information during the tab's session for conversion matching.

When enabled, Meta Conversions API sends form-submission events and matching information from our server to Meta. This may include hashed email addresses and phone numbers, available browser and advertising click identifiers, IP addresses, and browser user-agent information. Hashing does not make the information anonymous. Conversions API sends information server-to-server and does not itself require or set browser cookies, although our integration can include identifiers collected through browser cookies and storage.

Third-party services

LeadConnector / HighLevel provides our chat widget and customer relationship management integration. The chat widget may use cookies or browser storage to support chat sessions and continuity, and may process messages, contact details, and technical or usage data. It is excluded from the first two fundraiser form pages, /start/ and /start/details/; other tracking still operates there.

Provider-loaded scripts may use first-party or third-party cookies, local storage, or session storage. Apart from the Meta helper and our session storage described above, their exact storage names and lifetimes cannot be confirmed from our source code alone and depend on provider configuration and browser settings. We have not identified direct use of local storage in our own website code. Our Privacy Policy links to privacy information for Meta, Google, Hotjar, HighLevel, and Netlify.

Your choices

  • Open your browser's privacy or site settings to block cookies, including third-party cookies, or restrict cookies for individual websites.
  • Use your browser's clear browsing data or site data controls to delete existing cookies and stored website data. Deleting cookies alone may leave local or session storage in place.
  • Enable your browser's tracking protection features to restrict supported trackers. Consult your browser's help menu for instructions and available controls.

Blocking cookies, storage, or tracking scripts may affect chat, saved form progress, or other website functionality. Browser controls do not necessarily prevent server-side processing, including processing information you submit through forms or sending conversion events to Meta.
